I had such a great experience with "Weebly Tricks" this week I just had to blog about it. Here's the story: Right now I am re-working my site. I want to do more strategy and planning documentation, and I want customers to be able to order a custom strategy or plan straight from my website. My website is built in Weebly (I am a huge fan of Weebly for it's easy management.) So I added a product to my Weebly store called "Custom Strategy Plan". But when I did it made the "Cart" button show up in my primary navigation menu. Like this: I knew that there is probably a Javascript or something that would allow me to hid the cart button ONLY when the cart is empty, but I didn't have time to figure it out.
Then I remembered something I had seen a while back while working with a different site. Back then I was working with a site that wanted to use a custom font not offered in Weebly's regular site editor. I Googled 'how do I install a custom font in Weebly' and I found this tutorial. It was exactly what I needed at the time. So of course, I kept WeeblyTricks.com in mind for future Weebly customizations. I contacted them yesterday about the 'Cart' customization, and today they installed the fix. And the best part - it was not expensive. When I say not expensive, I mean really not expensive. I mean like the cost of a nice lunch. I was so pleased I had to write about it. First of all, I am so excited to find new ways to extend the limits of my beloved website building system. But also, I think I have found a new partner to help me hack this thing when needed! Here are some links to WeeblyTricks.com: Contact Page Portfolio Have you tried Weebly? Make a Weebly website here. I would love to hear about your experience with Weebly or with WeeblyTricks.com in the comments!
